This book provides complete, concise, clear, step-by-step instructions for deck building. Great photos clarify text and make the project seem exciting. I bought two books on decks and returned the other…this one had everything I needed.

Searched through many how-to books before a friend let me borrow this one. It provided all of the specific information I needed to actually build a deck. The others were wastes of money.

This will be the only reference that you will need to build either a porch or a deck. Far superior to any of the other three deck books I used from a library. A must own!

I have not found a book that covers everything anybody needs to know about decks, but this is the most thorough one I have seen…lots of good pictures. I still don’t know how much I should pay for my deck though. I guess I’ll have to get multiple quotes from contractors to make sure I’m not overpaying for it.

I use these gloves to clean my tank and hand-feed my african dwarf frog. The gloves have a hole at the top of the sleeve hanging the gloves, which is nice.

The Gloves are really comfortable, I have large arms and they cover from hand to little pas the elbow, the cotton lined facilitates taking them off and they look and feel pretty sturdy. Just perfect for the job. Would recommend to a friend and would buy again.

I purchased these gloves to work in my aquariums. I am a petite person, and it is hard to find any tight-fitting gloves that have long sleeves. These are still a little roomy in the fingers, so I don’t get great tactile feel with them, but they came the closest of any others I looked at or purchased. These do not come in a small size; medium was the smallest size I could find on the internet. These are similar in fit to dish-washing gloves, but tougher. They are very durable, and the sleeves do stay up on my arms while I am working. I have thought of getting another pair for household use, like washing the car.

I got these to help with picking blackberries. They really help protect my hands and arms when reaching into the brambles. The only downside is your arms get pretty sweaty after working with them for a few minutes.

Five stars should be saved for fiction which moves you.. and a four star cap for non-fiction. So the casual reader of reviews knows where I stand on this ‘how-to’ book..I loved it, used it and reccomend it. The first page breaks the ice…”If you do it wrong..it won’t catch on fire, it just won’t light up”.. It was all I needed to read.. Armed with this book I’ve rewired my house. The Electrical inspector said the quality of work exceeded that of a professional. I of course was just following the advice of “ORTHO’S ALL ABOUT WIRING BASICS”. The wiring diagrams are excellent, the text clear. Should you hesitate taking advice about electricity from a name known for gardening, please let this review be your guid and give it a try.
