Ok, so the bones turned out cute and so did the dog house but the rest are useless in that they don't maintain the shape really at all when you bake them in sugar cookie form. If you were doing pastry then I think they would be great and I would recommend them but cookies you are on your own at your own risk. I wouldn't have bought them if I have known.

Jerome, Maxx, Katie and Alec are very pleased with the set of dog biscuit cutters. They are after all the primary beneficiaries. I used them to bake three batches of dog biscuits of different types. They worked very nicely on rather sturdy doughs which did not hold together all that well (see below), and cleaned up easily. The cut-outs were very clear and clean.
I tried two of the three recipes included with the set. Neither one of them held together that well, a fault I also found with a third recipe which I got from another source. I was advised to add an egg to the third one (for peanut butter biscuits) and will do so next time. I don't know why this should have happened and it is what keeps me from giving this product four stars rather than five.
The four listed above include the resident (Jerome) and the others are his friends.

Used 2 of the cookie cutters one time and when I hand washed them they immediately rusted at the connections. They are slightly flemsie as well. Not recommended.

I received this item last week and when I opened it I was a little surprised at how cheaply made it is. It is al plastic and seems a little flimsly to the touch. I could have had the same thing with my Dremel tool and a lot better quality. I intend to use it as the principle is very good and it does do a nice job of trimming my dogs toe nails but the only draw back is I don't expect it to last a long time because of how it is made so my dogs will enjoy until it breaks and by then maybe they will improve it. Hope this helps.

What an inspirational book. Some of the stories made me cry, some brought a smile to my face. It's a wonderful gift for any cat lover. If you enjoy this one you will also like - A Cup of Comfort for Cat Lovers.

The beginning of this book was very refreshing and each story was a reminder as to what our furry friend is to all of us. I had a hard time digesting the stories towards the end of the book - I felt as though the stories were too vague and didn't really touch a chord. I have owned a 18 year old (now deceased) and now a stray for three years. I know the connection between man and beast - the love, the energy, the happiness that radiates from their being.

The stories were comforting - in fact I was bawling my eyes out..laughable and amazing in some respects. But towards the end, I found those stories missing the essence of what they are - Divine Messengers.

I would recommend it to any cat lover...make sure to keep the tissue box handy.

It is so true how the cats in your life become little angels here on Earth. They really do love us unconditionally.
Give a cat a chance and you will find out the love they have, just like the dogs in our lives, cats are just more peaceful!

I agree with the 1-star poster: the stories are amateurishly written. The "meditation" sections at the end of each story were a bit annoying and some of the stories were too spiritual/new age-y for my tastes. Not really worth the price.

With the good reviews on this book, I purchased it with anticipation. However, I found the stories to be amateurishly written, as if collected from outside sources and put together in a book, with the addition of questions to Cuddles randomly placed between stories. The only chapter in the entire book I found worthy was the one that stated the cycles of the cat's purr in relation to healing. You can pretty much read it in essence from the product description. I did not enjoy the book. If you like heartwarming and well written stories about animals or cats, you'd do better to look elsewhere, such as the Chicken Soup books.
